Very loose fuel flap

Hey guys.

My fluel flap is very loose. It even opens when on road if the car is not locked.

Any thoughts on this?

Is the solenoid working? Would assume not and it's not looking the flap shut?

When the car is locked, flap keeps closed.

Don't know how exactly solenoids works, so I can't tell nothing.

My gf has a 1.2 Clio and the fuel flap is the same as mine, it's loose too when the car is unlocked, but mine is a lot looser.

Well, my solenoid (locking system) runs perfectly. I can see the locking bar going up and down when locking/unlocking the car with opened flap. I neither see any clip snapped.

@Pav thank you for the thread link, but it seems they only talk about solenoid problems.

I guess my problem is not so bad, and I'm going to a bodyworshop, hope thigten a hinge screw will be enough.

yeah i know they mostly talk about that problem but at least it gave me a rough idea what to look for..
