Valet Pro Bilberry wheel cleaner....

Morning guys....

Don't normally use anything too harsh on my wheels. Mainly as they are never left long enough to be minging !!

But this morning ordered a few spray bottles of Bilberry Wheel cleaner.

Is this safe to use 'as is' straight from the bottle ? No need to dilute further ?

Advertised as PH Nuetral - so I'm presuming it's pretty much wax / sealer safe.....

Any long term users amongst us ?

You can use neat if heavily soiled. As you keep on top of your wheels you can dilute up to 1:10.

You will go through it quite quick neat.

Never use wheel cleaner just the soap in the bucket when the hairdryer gets its yearly wash

I've been using this for years, really happy with it. As others have said it can be used neat for really dirty wheels or diluted up to 1:10. But Having seen your posts I reckon you could probably get away with 1:50

Oh yes and as far as I know it's sealant safe, it was actually recommended to me by a detailer who did the full G Techniq treatment on my car.

The hope with the new pressure washer is to be able to get rid of 80% of the crud 'touch less' if this stuff is decent. And not risk rubbing in abrasive grit and brake-dust....

Happy to do with small sponge and shampoo etc: but if there's an easier way using a product that's not aggressive enough to damage paint, p/coat or sealer etc: Why struggle !

TBH if your wheels never really get dirty then snow foam and hand wash will do, my cars never really need anything harsh but my wife's car does a lot of miles and I have to use stronger stuff at times, I really like iron x! Great product at removing iron particles and brake dust etc.

Never used bill burry but have valet pro products which are pretty good, best advice I can give is treat the wheels with c5 for really easy cleaning.

Seems expensive but the 15ml bottle will do four wheels and then once you're six months in but your wheels STILL just need a quick going over to look mint then you know it's so worth the price. @Cossers is bang on, makes cleaning your wheels SO easy.

Look at post 4. Three months of winter crud build up and it still comes off easy as pie. It's excellent stuff.

I've only used it once and it was that thread that swayed me. When I say "only used it once" I had at least a years worth of very easy cleaning out of it! It's superb stuff. Gtechniq stuff seems expensive but you see it as worth it once you use it. And it's not really that bad, at least it's not Swiss Vax.

Funny thing is bud, I was going to get a 'sample zymol kit' from clean your car, £200 for 3 small tubs of wax and when you compare the price on a pro rata with the full tubs they are a bargin, think the thing that put me off was the bare hand application! Can't be assed with that! then I really got to thinking, with the amount I wash the car I dont really need a super long lasting wax! I like to use a quick detailer in the summer and a easy app wax in the winter.

Hours in the garage polishing ain't my thing TBH! Do like a clean car though!
