V-Power - What do you pay?

i thought texaco was 99RON?

i could be wrong, i have not bought anything other than derv for 18 months so ill be a little rusty on octane content

No, Texaco is 97 too. Just checked! Sorry mate! Lol! I think Sainsbury's high octane is 97 as well. Is there any other fuel stations? Lol!

Dose anyone use PetrolPrices.com ?

No, I haven't ever used it. I don't really need to worry too much about price now, because I don't use much fuel, I use the company's fuel card to put derv in the van!

The 182 used to be 98 ron recomended, it feels wierd being able to put 95 in the 200..

I wonder why they changed it from the 182?

could be a few things - ecu calibration/knock protection - combustion chamber design - compression ratio etc - probably a few "refinements" contributed to the engines tolerance to take a lower octane fuel

...has anyone ever tried the BP 102 octane stuff? Only seen it for sale in Maidstone....didn't try it....was too scared of the potential damage to my valves....and even more scared by the price!!

V Power 124.9 at Cribbs Causeway, Bristol.....

I saw that 102 ron on their website, but I have never seen it for sale. I wouldn't mind giving it a whirl! Lol!

I only ever used V-Power in my RS197 which I have now sold! I've paid £128.9 for V-Power but always got a few mpg more so it made sense. And I lost a funny flat spot at about 2,800 - 3,000 rpm as well so it was better to drive.... A bit of a no brainer for me but I have a decent Shell station right next to my work!

i used v power in it for the first time today, hard to say with only 300 miles done but was definately more resposnsive in 6th on the mway.

124.7 i think.

Down where I live, they have it at a Shell opposite a Ferrari and Maserati garage. Watched a guy fill up a 430 with it, with a bill of over £250 for a tank!

Its now 132.9 everywhere around here :S

10p a litre more than standard unleaded, used to only be 5p more im sure
