Unexpected Track Car Bonus

So my 197 F1 is mostly for track use although i do use it on the road when i fancy a blat in something different. One of the things i have done is stripped the rear seats out to save weight.

Now today i decided that pile of garden junk at the back of the garden that has been getting larger over the last couple of years needs a start on clearing to the local tip.
This is the first tip run i have done whilst owning the Clio. I thought maybe i should use that as it has a large space in the back...epiphany!
I could get soooo much stuff in the back. What a wonderful benefit of a stripped out track car

For an added bonus i popped into the local (old school) hardware store on the way back (am i the only person who loves a good old fashioned hardware store?) and picked up a wheelbarrow that fit no issue.

Save much weight stripping out the rear? How far did you go? Id want it to look OEM (would get a carpet) but not sure about the parcel shelf bits or seatbelts, as they need coding out once removed.

The weight should be negligible except you want to do BTG sub 8s or the like. I haven't weight all the parts of the backseats but I'd guess my Clubsport roll-bar weighs more than what flew out.

I thought it would be negligible but I was intrigued. Weight loss effectively equals more power for the weight. But I have also thought that losing too much weight over the back would affect handling.

I'd say we're talking about 60 pounds here (presumably less). The seating part basically consists of some styrofoam like stuff on a metal frame with some cloth/leather above it. You can literally throw it across the room with one arm. The backrest ways a little more as it has to hold what's in the trunk in case of an accident but it's still "light weight" compared to what you find in other cars. While the weight of the hatrack is totally negligible.

I'd bet you won't notice any difference in relation to it being removed or not except for less sound damping.
