Today is a good day :)

So today I went to a specialist appointment at the hospital which was meant for February (good start) and for the first time was listened too!! It's been 3 years in the making but I'm finally going off and making the long road to a diagnosis for the crap that my body does to me  but the best bit is I'm getting something to keep me working and active during the day instead of pounding the caffeine and sports supplements.

It was so nice to have a doctor listen and ask my opinion and what I felt I needed. A small victory but you don't know how good it feels to just have someone believe that your symptoms are real. A very good day indeed for me

Really good to hear, half the battle can be finding a doctor that actually understands. Hopefully this is now the start to a positive outcome for you.

Cheers mate hopefully :/ was a totally different experience and thankfully will have a name to put to it! I hade to laugh as I couldn't leave the building without having blood taken from me lol so happy tonight

Good news mate. NHS is great but it can take allot of time for them to listen to you.
Hope things move quicker for you now on!

What's actually wrong then chap?

i do applaud our NHS system, the staff within their relevant sections do a sterling job, it's just the time scales that can be attached at times.
glad to hear your saga is 'hopefully' coming to a conclusion.

ive had on going back drama's for best part of 4 years now, I appreciate every consultants meeting and more so my own GP for constantly pushing all of the time to help me out, and it's only within the past month found an issue which requires a further operation that could have me more able bodied again for the future, even tho it could have me laid up for a fair while after the opp.

Ah man that's sucks dude :worried:

I suffer with MS style symptoms but cannot be diagnosed as don't meet criteria so hopefully were now going down the CFS/ME road which is great news really. It hit me after I lost 6 and a half stone ( properly I must add) and hasn't shifted. If you google it and look at symptoms I tick every box. I've changed my job to suit and stopped training to be able to still work but now I'm getting looked after hopefully I can work with a physio and get back to it

NHS is wank on the whole in my experience and i've had a lot of it sadly.

great to hear your finally been taken seriously.

Cheers guys  I agree as a general the NHS is useless as it's taken this long to get anywhere but Friday really did give me a little hope that some doctors do care and listen to you. Just can't wait to get my drugs and start to get back to a normal energy level

Hope you get sorted soon mate, finding a good doctor is half the battle. Keep at them don't let them forget you

I hope it all works out ok for you, and you get what you need to be back on par!

I really hope they conquer it for you, atleast they are now finding a way to progress forwards with it, fingers crossed the light at the end of the tunnel starts getting brighter.

I had another visit to my GP this morning, my GP over the years has always been really positive for me and always pushed to try and get my issues sorted, but today I left actually feel deflated and as tho id stepped back a couple of years.
feeling low today :worried:
