to mod or not to mod?

hmmm, i wnat a fast road/track toy...... and iv loads of items waiting to be used...
incar fire exstinguiser with lines and nossles
small battery
pedal box
cylinders
seats
digi dash.. the lsit goes onnnnnn, so...

im debating weather to play aorund with the 197, and tastefully mod it making it lighter and simpler without butchering the car

or buy a williams/172 and plunder a load of cash into that instead :tongueout:

172's are cheap as chips now, would be a great track toy if the 197 is your daily drive.

make it lighter mate. its silly how much money u can spend on mods these days.

well that would be the better bet, and yer 172's are cheap, but iv got a serious urge to go wild on the 197, but i dont wnat to do anything ill regret later as it aint no 1500 quid car at the end of the day

exactly mate. . . . if its done it has to be done right. rens are fragile as it is.

I would just tastefully mod the 197. Just look at Mark_1897's 197 for example. Bigger brakes, smaller battery, coilovers, track wheels and track rubber.

Thats really all you should need to do to have a really good daily driver and track toy. You could lighten it but I dont like the fully stripped out look. I'd carpet any bare metal thats exposed for example when taking rear seats out.
