Throttle body

Im just about to fit a ktec induction kit and thought i would give the throttle body a quick clean while im there. Im going to remove the throttle body to do it. So the question im asking is it ok to open the butterfly valve by hand and clean it this way? Cheers. Quick reply appreciated 8)

How easy is it to remove the throttle body [MENTION=41063]Pav[/MENTION]? Think mine might need doing and the pcv valve replaced.

there are 4 bolts..think size 10..very easy..sorry dont have any pics but its quite straight forward..just remember to disconnect the wire that leads to it...

Battery tray was a barsteward!! Note to self though, remember to plug the throttle body back in. Started car up and it was running lumpy as loads of error messages on the dash, i properly let out a little poo! Then i realised :liambo: the noise i immense cant get enough of it.

I like it now, see how long it lasts though lol. Ive not had an induction kit for years since i was younger.

I did for the first few drives, until going to work at 5am and putting slight labour on the engine up a hill, drove me mad lol.

But it sounds the tits when your going for it through the gears!
