T4 gearbox

Hi I have a T4 031 gearbox currently in my Clio 200.Currently looking for a replacement or rebuild as synchro gone in 4th.Have been offered brand new T4 but a 024 part number.Does anyone know the difference.

Yep, 024 has longer 1st/2nd/3rd gears.

TB Rich thanks for the info I guess would you notice the difference on the road ?Am I right in saying it would take longer to spin up in first 3 gears ?

Will be technically slower in the first 3 gears, but there isn't loads of difference - I've put the 024 and 031 ratios in here for you to see:

What are the final drives Rich?

All RS boxes (TL4 003, TL4 024, TL4 031) are the same mate 4.31 (16/69).

I'm dropping my boxes off tomorrow to be rebuilt! Can't wait!!!!
