Stereo problem

Hi all

Wonder if any can help me, i have fitted a new stereo and i have all the correct fitments however when i goto connect the the lead into the block for the stalk/steering wheel controls the radio switches off like it has no power or its shorting out,anayone any ideas.

Cheers in advance i will try to upload a video this week if no one understands what i am on about,

pretty sure you need interface adapter for the steering wheel control

I have the adapter when I plug the lead in the radio switches off or goes dead! Then when I unplug it comes back on !!!

What car you got? Pretty sure the 197 and 200 are dufferent?

Sounds like it might not be earthing properly.

Def different.. But if its the wrong one it probably wont effect anythin. I bought the wrong one to start with. Nothin worked via the controls but head unit worked fine.
double check the model number of the adapter anyway
otherwise rogue is more than likely right
