I would like to buy a keyless steering column for my car to get the reach adjustment. There are serveral on e-bay. I would install it and keep the keyed entry and simply weld a support for the ignition switch to the colum frame. I would ditch the column lock. Any thoughts on this project?
Can I buy a keyless column from any MK3 and use my motor and ecu with it, or are there no differences in the actual power units meaning I can just run the standard MK3 column? There are several on eBay right now that are claimed to fit the 2.0 sports models.
