Steering assist, can it be reduced?

It can be altered on some VWs through software intervention, can the same be achieved with our Clios?

do you really want to be messing with the steering "mapping"...

Not messing no, I don't do messing. Just trying the preset settings already in there. A few Meg owners have done it and it apparently improves steering feel, it simply reduces the amount of effort the electric motor puts in. Popular tweak in VW circles I'm reading too.

I had this in my last car (Focus ST), it was adjusted via the stalk controls. It was just there as standard with 3 levels or choices. To be honest I set it to 'Sport' the day I bought the car and it was never touched after that so I cant say if it works or not.
