Soft rear drivers side footwell...

Please take this with a pinch of salt....

My wife has just phoned to say that while trying to get my son out of his car seat, she put her weight in the drivers side rear footwell, and felt that she almost put her foot through the floor and after testing says its far softer against the pasenger side which is much firmer.


Admitadely she is 7 months pregnant but shes not a unit Mcunit. No doubt I will have to investigate tonight in the dark but has anyone ever heard of this before?

I thought that about mine when I was cleaning in the back! It feels spongy.

Yeah, look under it. In certain places it's made from foam like material.

Yeah very strange. Had a limited look in the dark last night and from underneath the car it all looks fine, but from the inside it is definitely spongier than the other side.

There also feels like a fist size hole near the inside seat rail which im putting down to being weight saving in a track oriented car :001_unsure:

Truth be told im reasonable at DIY but taking carpets out comes under Arts and Crafts which I am pretty hopeless at.

Anyone got a picture of a stripped out rear drivers side foot well please?
