Slashed exhaust tips?...

I bought a KTEC exhaust cat back system which has the 200 tail pipe finish. I fitted it to my 197 after buying the system at a decent price.

I have some exhaust tips, bought from eBay, like the ones other people have in recent threads.

My question is, where can I get the the slashed tail pipes as the 200 tail pipe to the exhaust I have on is projecting too far out from the car and the eBay tail pipes don't perfectly slide on (I suppose I could file and modify them to fit) even so, they stick to far out.

Slashed tail pipe finish is what I need. I suppose I could remove the tail pipe I have on...hack saw and produce my own slashed finish? Would this work? ...then add the eBay tail pipe accordingly...? I won't be getting a 200 diffuser so there isn't an issue...

Suggestions please?

Have you filed out the bits inside to make them flat?

As else they don't go on and stick out about an inch from the bumper?

Need a rubber mallet to tap them on after modifying

Unsure on if the KTEC exhaust is same diameter as standard though?

I can get them on I reckon...after a little persuasion and filing... But once there on try will extend much further than the slashed pipes...

pretty sure ktec tailpipes are bigger than standard and i'm sure i've read that the tips your on about are a tap on fit on the standard exhaust

ktec will sell you the slash cut tailpipes but personally i'd mark up where to cut the 200 tailpipes while on the car then tap them off,cut,file and refit them to save some money

k-tec 197 slash cut tailpipes are alot bigger than standard....

i had to cut away more of the opening in the diffuser on mine so they would clear and not catch!!!
