Side indicator tint limits.

Hi there,
does anyone know if there is a tint limit on your side indicators as I want them dark to match my black car. Any ideas?

As far as I'm aware, any indicator needs to clearly flash amber and still be seen from a decent distance. If it doesn't (eg wrong colour, or there's too much obscuring the light) it could be an MOT failure.

So yeah there is a limit, but I don't know if there is a specific percentage etc, like with window tinting.
