service light / fault light

hi, i usually service and repair cars myself but usually my cars are alot older and have less electrical gizmos, just wandering what equipment i need to remove service / fault lights?

also can get hold of trade equipment if there's no public option

i did my service light reset yesterday as dealer forgot

ignition on
set display so service due display is showing
press bottom button on right stalk and hold for approx 15 seconds until service display flashes and then shows service due 12000 miles
job done

what about faults? put a new battery in and abs fault appeared?

drive it should go off once up to abs sensing speed
