Service Due.........but it isnt?

Around a week ago my service count down was on 7,500 miles but the other day a message came up on my dash that says 'service Due'

Can you wipe this off? My car is going in to Renault next week so will they just be able to do this for me as my servcie book shows it isnt due until November.

yeah mate u can turn this off by pressing the buttons on the stalk in a certain sequence,this happened to me,there's a thread on here about it,i'm pretty sure the light comes on sooner depending on yr driving style and doesn't go on mileage

I also thought that the spanner on the dash indicated the service was due as this isnt lit up? Im sure Renault will sort it for me next week

cheers mate, it seems simple enough, I just find it strange how its gone from 7500 miles remaining to 'service due' within a week!

press start button and brake but pull your foot off the brake so its doesnt start and you hear a click. flick through the trip computer until you come to the service due message then press and hold the trip button (you may have to press both up and down in) you may have leave pressed in for a long time. when its worked you should get some milage numbers flash up, i think 18000, then keeping you finger on one of the up/down, use the other up/down to scroll through the milage you want it set at, then relaese.

197 is on 12month or 12000mile whichever comes first!!!!!

needs looking at for it to come on early - its not as if it has an oil monitor on it
