Sensor needs new sticky stuff

No idea what it's called.

Basically the automatic wiper sensor that stuck to the windscreen has become unstuck (wipers stopped working)
Have taken the bit apart and pressed the sensor back onto the pad hard but 5 minutes later its off again.

What's the best stuff to use or when can the sticky pad be brought from as this one has clearly given up after 6/7 years.

It's definitely the sensor.

I also never realised that there was a blue LED in that part (just below the mirror)

Foam tape (same as reg plate tape) is good for most things like this just degrease both surfaces well first

Thanks I'be got some of that laying around after I fitted my new plates so I'll get that on there.

I actually ended up buying a whole new sensor/lens pad.
Cost £20 from Renault as I wasn't having any luck getting my wipers to work any other way.

The bit is the sticky pad and the black plastic bit with the lens on it. It just unclips and then the new top bit reclips in.

All working perfectly again now.
