I have had two sets of seats now (standard not Recaro) and on both sets alls I can feel under my butt are the steel bars inside, is this the norm?

Im 16 stone plus. Cant say the same about my 200 ?

Can't say I feel them in mine (normal and recaro). Sounds like the story of the princess and the pea. Maybe it's the frame you feel

Never had that problem and iam hardly (Twiggy) any of my Clio's

Yes it's the frame, it seems the foam inside does not cover the bars and has moved over to the side, does the foam breakdown overtime?

Not heard of this before, but seats do get worn...

The foam does seem to disintegrate. I looked at a few recaros at the trimmers and some of it was shocking! (luckily not mine... yet)

I'd say not, no.

I'm a bit of a lump and couldn't feel any bars in my 90k 10yr old seats or my newer alternatives.
