Seats question.

Hi so I'm wondering what seats can be swapped with out bringing airbag lights on.

197 with recaro's can you straight swap them for any other seats?

Recaros have 2 airbags instead of the standard 3 that the 197 and 200 standard seats have, so you either need to wire in a resistor, or get CLIP software to change the airbag module (this is what Renault do if you spec'd Recaro seats from factory).

If you are going from Recaro > standard seats, you will need to get CLIP software to activate the 3rd airbag (i'm not sure if it will bring up an airbag light going the other way round, probably not) but you'll lose the anti-submarine airbag working.

Yep, anyone with CLIP software can do it, speak to specialist and ask how much it would cost

My car came with a Megane RS recaro on the passenger's side. No airbag lights.
