seat belt warning now I've fitted recaro seats

You sure its not the air bag warning light on the dash ? Needs resistors fitted because the standard seats have 2 air bags and the recaro seats only have 1 air bag. There is a link on here how to sort the issue.

You just go to your Renault dealer and they will reconfigure the car to Recaro spec.

I live up the road in scotter, and I've just taken my recaro's out ( race seats going in) if you want to cross check anything out. Also have a bag of resistors.

I get the airbag lights too but for the first couple of minutes it beeps and the seat belt light is on, if I unplug the seats the car shuts up.

Are you unplugging the electrical connector or unbuckling your seat. the the seat belt circuit is looking for a open circuit when buckled up. Short circuit when unbuckled. Could be that you have a dodgy switch in the buckle, or the clip is not making the switch.

I have disconnected the plug underneath the seat

Can that be done with a renault clip machine ? I know with the ford ids machine you can change all the settings through central car configuration.
