Scuffed leather solutions

I've always been very careful to avoid the seat bolster of my Recaros when getting into the car, but noticed a while back that I've been catching the side bolster & scuffing that. It's probably because I have the seat very far forward as I'm only a 28" inside leg & have to slot through a small gap into the car. I'm trying to remember to move the seat back when I get out, but years of getting in with the seat already in position are hard to break! can anyone recommend any products to try and tidy up the scuffing please?

Take advice from a specialist and don't do anything rash Jon would be my words of wisdom right now.

Wonder if they'd be able to 'treat' / sort it; and then somehow seal that area or all the leather to stop it coming back and make it a bit more hardy ?

Hate to say it......seat-cover for the future....? ****The Capital Seating purpose fit one is very thin....i still know i'm in a leather seat and would hopefully afford some protection in your regard ?

Jon & Shuv

I would only use one solution and that is the LTT Leather Care Auto Leather Recolour.

I had a scuffed drivers seat bolster (base) and side bolster on the MINI I have just sold (and replaced with the LY200 :thumb:)
You get a small bottle of self sealing black leather dye and apply it with the supplied cloth.
Gently wipe it over, 1 or 2 coats and leave to dry.

If the weather is cool/cold, use a hair dryer to speed up the drying process.

I only ever touched it up once, and it lasted the 2.5 yrs I kept the car and blended in perfectly.
Just looked like it was went it left the factory.

Great advice and real-World experience @JMR !

Hehe, judging by a few of your posts I've read, I'm a bit similar with the upkeep of my cars :sunglasses:

I've got a couple of machine polishers, varying grades of polish and more sealants and waxes than you could care to choose from lol.

The mrs has already said I've got all half term to wash/iron x/clay/machine polish and seal the LY200 :relaxed:

BTT, no leather on this car, but the LTT stuff (protector) has been great on my previous CRZ leather, MINI leather and I'm currently using it on the Porsche

 Hoping she don't mean Monday to Friday

I'm thinking two days on the car, a days mini road trip to the Peak District/Dales, a day in the pub....lol
...and a day doing nothing...

I could spend 5 days on the car no worries. But yes - a tad sad !

Sounds a great week. Dont forget piccies after :sunglasses:
