Hey all was given this exhaust and was just wondering if I need any extra parts?

Would be great if anyone knows as I was literally chucked it and thought why not!

The centre section is missing - you can either get the non-resonated one (louder) or the resonated one, sometimes they pop up on here for sale or you might be able to get one from Scorpion direct.

For reference:

Non-Resonated - You are missing the longer pipe at the top of the photo which joins on to the cat

So it would literally just be a case of getting the part which you prefer - check some videos on youtube of the difference between resonated and non-resonated. Then it would just fit straight on

Ah cheers for that! So is it useless in its current state?

Would explain the freebie!

Then it would just fit straight on - It's still a great freebie and hopefully the centre section isn't too expensive and you'll have got a great exhaust for not very much!

Its not useless at all..some people fit just the back section..You can keep your standard middle silencer with an aftermarket rear section...or alternatively you can get a straight pipe from.like eBay,and have it clamped on...

Thanks a lot for this Pav.

I had a gander and fitted just the back box onto the standard middle silencer (had to pack it out and use a different clamp).

Sounds absolutely fab as is, I haven’t heard another in person so can’t say if it sounds the same as the scorpion with res middle pipe.

So yeah thanks a bunch for that reply! Owe you big time.

no problem at all..there are many ways how to go about this..glad it worked...t2005.gif

Haha! It would sound sweet though, have you got any videos with just the backbox on?

Sorry about the late reply, I’ll try and get one up.

I’m pretty happy with it as just the back box, lots of pops and sounds fairly raspy when you open her up. Put 95 Ron in the pops are a bit more subtle, if I put 97/98 in the pops are out in force and just make me grin way to much.

Tbh I think if anyone is after a set up that’s not to ‘chav’ etc I’d recommend this one.

Also no flat spot as of the moment but could this be due to have stock exhaust system up to back box? Not sure.

Definitely going to get non res center pipe and compare though.

I fitted a ktec resonated catback the other day, its a lot louder than i was expecting, and i have a pretty bad flatspot.

Yeah as I was fitting my scorpion I was debating if would even sound half decent and was actually impressed.

what gear/revs is your flat spot?

I thought the ktec one was good for avoiding flat spots :s ?

what gear/revs is your flat spot?

around 2.5-2.8k. I find it pretty savage to be honest, really struggles in them revs. Splutters a little too which i wasn't expecting but i've been told its normal!

I'm not too sure if they're good for flat spots or what realy but it's definitely affected mine hahaha. Sound is great though. Just a little louder than i expected
