Sap/Pollen problem

Basically, clayed the car the other day and the paint felt silky smooth. Then waxed with two coats of meguiars liquid wax (not great but all i had). Then the next day the paint is covered in little rough feeling bumps, I'm assuming some sort of pollen but it won't wash off and I've only just clayed and waxed! any one think why this can be/ how to fix?

Cheers

Well sap usually comes off when you wash it.. Try a stronger shampoo:water ratio. Particuarlly if its freshly waxed it should be easier to clean.

However autoglym have some products that would shift it, for example there fly remover would probaly do the trick.

Tardis is very good as is iron x, remember to seal wax or polish, makes it Easy next time, I just bought das 6 pro polisher to have go all over my 200 cup, will post some pics once all complete

Wouldn't use tardis or iron x on bodywork unless necessary (ie actually having tar or brake dust on your bodywork) wouldn't use them for tree sap.... Both very strong.

Have look on detailing world, let's people use iron x on car no problem, I'm no pro but reading lots on there in regards detailing clio

Didn't say you can't use it. But it's an aggressive chemical that removes iron particles so I wouldn't want prolonged exposure on my car.

Have look bud, lot very good info on there, Like anything used correctly no problem, I like to research and read up on anything before getting stuck in, my white work van will be first test so if I mess up not going look any worse than it is now
