RS specialists/body shop - South East?

I'm looking for a decent place to get a few maintenance things done to my 200 near Guildford/Surrey:

- rear disc/hub clean (rust around the edge)
- replace all wheel bolts (I will supply)
- refurb one alloy that has speckles on it
- replace air filter
- get brembos ripped apart and cleaned
- potentially replace brake fluid

How much should I be looking at for all that?

Also need to get a dent taken out of the roof. Very small and shallow - massive fir-cone/acorn hit it I think. Little b*gger.

Any recommendations for places to get any of the above done?

Appreciate any help/advice. Cheers.

You'll probably need to visit two or three different places for the mechanical work and the body work.

Some of those you can do yourself tho mate. Air filter and wheel bolts is like 15 minutes work. Rear discs will just need a wire brush.

I don't know anyone in your area, but if you're willing to travel, try ren7oaks, two techs or sjm automotive

Brembo strip can also be done by yourself, fairly easy job if you know how. Depending on what the speckles are on the alloy they could be taken off with good alloy cleaner or detailing clay. I'm local in basingstoke so if you needed a hand just shout.

Cheers guys.

I have given wheel bolts a go, but they are on far too tight for the tool I have. It's too close to the alloy to risk slipping. Also need a proper jack! Might give it another go today.

It would be my ideal weekend to do most of this myself. I'll have a rethink. If the air filter is easy I'll find a guide online for that.
Stephen thanks for the offer mate, might take you up on that. I guess once you've done it once it's much easier. The alloy speckles are weird. They are actually small chips on the alloy, only on one alloy, but they are very small like someone threw a load of grit at it really hard. They're not tar spots or anything. Just needs smoothing off.

They are near me. Have been looking for a rs specialist, cheers.

May I suggest you whip your back wheels off and wire brush your discs, then use some satin hammerite on non-contact areas. This will stop them looking orange through the alloy! Mine have been fine since I did it last September.
Changing the air filter is dead easy too. Just pull the old out of the box and replace with the new

Oops sorry bud. Didn't even realise tagging worked on Tapatalk.

@andy9l buy yourself a Draper Expert breaker bar. They're less than £20 and you'll have it for life. Couple that with deep socket with some insulating tape around it and it's job done.

This is the one I have (and keep in the boot) :

Thanks mate, massive help. I'll have a look at getting one of those then!

Basically I need to splash out on some tools to get my wheels off. I'm definitely up for that. I need a decent jack/way to lift the car, and a beastly socket handle to get some damn leverage on these bolts.

I managed to work around the alloy spokes earlier and the rust was flaking off the hub piece/disc which is good. The hub bit was cleaning really easily so not sure if it's actually rust to be honest. Saved it for tomorrow when I've got more light. I think I've got some of that hammerite lying around somewhere actually. I'll try to get some pics.

Thanks for the tips guys.

I had a good weekend with the car the weekend just gone. Got myself a decent (halfords!) trolley jack and axel stands and got to it. Rear wheels off, and discs cleaned of most rust. Also sprayed the bolt tips black as a temporary rust fix (buying new bolts all round soon).

It was all going so well until the front wheels. I was pushing at a slight angle I think and I've snapped both locking keys. I can't get a new key as I don't have the security code :worried:

Some guy who sells genuine renault locking keys on eBay said he had mine in stock after I sent him a photo and he's dispatched it today. We'll see what turns up... He's got 1000+ feedback 100% positive so hopefully it'll be alright.

I'm taking it to a garage to get all locking nuts off when I get this key. I'll buy some none-renault ones that are a bit more robust.

Definitely made progress with my to-do list. Feels great to get a bit more involved with the car. Air filter next after wheel bolts issue is sorted. Got my fingers crossed that this eBay guy is genuine otherwise it could be a problem...

Here she is on 3 wheels...all that dirt and rust from one disc/arch!
