Renault's work with Formula E has given the manufacturer excellent knowledge of using battery tech for performance, so it looks inevitable we'll see hybrid hot hatches in the not-too-distant future

I would strongly consider a 4 wheel drive hybrid 200T.

I guess it's inevitable that they would look to go down that route eventually. I know that the Porsche 918/Mclaren P1/LaFerrari are the extreme end of the scale, but that sort of technology/performance will no doubt filter down to 'normal' cars, and the performance potential (albeit scaled-down) does make sense in a hot hatch...
