Renault Speaker Wires +/- ?

What colour is +/- on the Renault speaker wires?
I think they are purple/green, which is which?

Im running the standard Renault woofer cables into a terminal block then from that into a crossover with better wires, then wires from crossover to components but im getting distortion from the tweeters when i turn it up loud, the only thing i can think it could be is the Renault cables are going into the crossover the wrong way round

Apart from that it could be that the speaker wire i have is too thick to go into the tweeter holes so im only using half of the wire

When I changed my rear. Speakers the left and right side were different colors!! However, the positive wire did have a black stripe on it. Thats well I can tell you really mate.

I suppose ill just have to test & try, its the only thing i can think of why im getting distortion in the tweeters, i'll just swap em round until i get no distortion
