Removing rear window tint

Absolute bitch of a job...
Had to do it on my Mrs GTI years ago when she wrote it off. Need to heat it up gently with a hair dryer, and gently pull the tint off and then clean the window with white spirit to get the sticky residue off.
No idea whether the heater elemnent will survive. Either have a bottle of the copper slick handy or perhaps source a second hand window.
Failing that - smash it and claim on your insurance
