Remap question

I don't know much about engines but isn't the fuel/air ratio changing when the engine temperature is different? So I was thinking that maybe renault missed something on the first version (07 plates) and got it sorted on a newer versions of ecu. Just a though, maybe it'a completely irrelevant I'm just trying to figure it out..
I'll have the car dyno'd very shortly to see what power I'm running..

You wont stop the ecu retarding the ignition when the engine too hot, ive had it while stuck in traffic on a hot day, once the car gets moving and air starts to cool the radiator, it will run fine. It will be the same no matter what car/map. I presum its to stop the car overheating.

fine balance of when retarding the ignition due to air temps actually makes the engine run hotter.

It's to stop detonation primarily. the hotter the intake charge, the more likely this will occur. Necessary tbh. Address intake temperatures if you want to stop it happening. You will always experience this after sitting in traffic until you get some air flow again.
