Recaros

I'm very conscious about wear on my recaros every time i get in and out of my car, hopefully they'll last longer this way.

They do make me grin though when i'm driving and i look across at the passenger seat and it's a recaro.

God i sound like a right dullard.

I've just bought some tailored covers for mine off eBay, nearly £60 posted but with muck from work it helps keep them clean, even though am planning on getting car trimmed in some cow skin cause dunno if I like the front being yellowish and back not :s

Are you not able to put someone on the seat to help prevent the wear?

Drive from the back seats?

lol only messing, doubt it tbh. A car cover would still cause friction but might give a extra layer of protection. Best way is to leather up.

bottom line is, if you cant deal with the inherant wear issues with these seats, dont buy them.

I have an open mind with them, I know they will wear, I try and avoid excessive rubbing on them (oo-er), and i know at some point I will either retrim them or if my car goes the track route will replace them with a full on bucket.

I've just (litterally just) bought a seat cover from ebay.

Second hand but one of the capital seating ones.

Might help a little.
