If it is out of warranty I would get the outer parts done in leather, there are hundreds of companies out there who can do the work. Doing it this way it should be much more durable and stop it from happening in the future. I will be doing this if/when mine wear.

The base complete with cover is about £270, comes ready just to bolt on with 4 bolts!
priced it up for mine as the dealer was saying mine was wear and tear so not covered under warranty and having done only 6k miles from new, contacted Renault direct and it was soon sorted out!
