Rear calipers

Hi all,

Took my 200 into the dealers and the stripped the calipers down to see why they were squeeling on. I thought it might be a dodgy caliper/s.

Turns out the guy said it was the pads sticking in the caliper, and keeping slightly on the disc.

So will new pads fix it, or will it continue to come back - I don't get it? Surely if the pads sticking in the caliper, then the new pads will stick too?

Sorry don't know these brakes yet, haven't had time to have a look myself.

Can someone help me please

Thanks, Jack

They may have just become gummed up with crap, and they've cleaned them out when replacing the pads. If they haven't done anything other than replace the pads then its likely they will bind again as they aren't moving freely.

Take the pads off and apply some copper grease (Copper Ease from halfords) to the non friction side of the pads. Also around the ridge of the pad. Be careful not to get it on the disc/friction side!! Helps a fantastic amount.
