My car has randomly misfired and almost stalled pulling away a few times the past month. Only seems to happen when its lower revs normally when I come to a full stop at a junction I can hear it start to misfire then spluttering when pulling away. Once it gets going again it sorts itself out. I also notice sometimes it just seems down on power like it won't pull but then other times it feels fine. I've noticed the lack of power issue for about 6 months or so but used to just think it was because I had a bit of a load up in the boot.
No engine lights but when plugged in to diagnostic it shows two DF119 Camshaft Sensor codes. One code says Camshaft Tooth Event the other says Phaser Measurement Outside of Range. I've noticed this code stored in the history before but had no symptoms of anything wrong so never did anything about it. I recently bought a cheap replacement sensor just to see if it made a difference but the issue still seems to be here along with the code. Changed the plugs about 6 months to a year ago as well so shouldn't be them.
