Protectiveness Film!!!!!

Was cleaning the car last night, making the most of the weather and noticed behind the passenger side rear wheel as if the paint was starting to flake off!

It looks as if it is some sort of protective film the bumper is wrapped in is beginning to peel off.

Anyone have any suggestions? Will get a picture tonight!

not too sure what that could be fella, you sure its the paint or is it a film over it? If its the latter there isn't anything Ren put on like that - it might have been a previous owner (I am guessing its had more than one).

its probably just the laquer, if its been painted by a numpty, its can come off in big patches. i had my MG ZR painted and that was an atrocious excuse for a paint job.

it is a protective film, my 197 built in 2006 has had them factory fitted as well, they're gone now after the rear quarters being resprayed... my 2003 megane also had them factory fitted... the 200's dont get them as standard?? they do help the paint to cope with all the dirt hitting it....
