200: Photoshop my Brembo's!

Hi guys, i know there are a few Photoshop wizards on here (I think @///M)
I'm not sure what colour to do my calipers in (not sure if I want to be like everyone else and have them in red, though does look nice, but plenty of those on Google images for me to look at) and would like a few mock ups if possible?
Could you use the 2 following pictures:




The colours I am thinking of are brilliant silver (to keep it's non-Cup heritage), gold (like here) and orange. I think I'd use VHT products, unless anyone can recommend any other brands.
Any other suggestions are also welcome as I quite like the black/anthracite combinations, so not sure if there are similar colours that would suit.

Now the file is set up it's pretty easy to change it to any colour you like so if you have any other ideas, just shout mate.

@///M If you turned the darkness down before changing the hue you would get a more solid colour, they look a tad faded

Neither of those for me I'm afraid. Still can't beat a red on black combo.

Thanks for the crit Dale :excited:, yes I do agree they look a tad faded (although I disagree with your rather crude method if this was being done correctly as that would just darken everything) but hopefully it's sufficient as a very quick rough to get an idea.

@Micah if you need them adjusting mate, just shout.

Good work, Mes! I'm a fan of the green, I like the fact that it's something a bit different. Gold is a good one too!

Definitely a fan of red Speedlines on deep black - was only thinking about this at the weekend. Don't think red calipers go with them though, need some contrast in there.

Straight Brembo gold will look really classy mate. I certainly wouldn't change you wheel colour if you're sticking with the OEM rims. They look great as they are!

Sorry mate I wasn't trying to be crude, I just meant that if you use photoshop for example you can use the selection tool to highlight around the calipers only and apply the changes to the selected area instead of the whole image

Very true - only had my wheels refurbed so will be staying for a while. So, gold calipers, but what colour Brembo sticker?

No worries mate and yeah, they are a little washed out. "Crude" as in a fairly heavy handed fix if we were aiming for accurate colour representation. Obviously it should really be done with adjustment layers and level adjustments but as time was short it was a quick HSB adjustment as you suggested. I've only been using it 17 or 18 years professionally, so still a bit of a novice...



Was done in the office while working so minimal time spent really. I know Micah just needed an idea so only spent ten mins and most of that was uploading time!
