Petrol consumption - Motorway use?

Used to get 27mpg from my old engine.
Got a engine change from renault in May and I now average 31.1 mpg and im driving quite hard. This engine is much better

I do a few motorway trips to London (about one a month), and on the long cruise at 70-80 i get 36mpg

I got 33.3mpg on the way down to the National meet, we weren't hanging around but being at the back of the convy helped!

I have got 42mpg over about 20miles on the way back from the coast along flat roads at 40-50mph.

My old gearbox did 34mpg today with cruise set at 70

I usually get 32-35 mpg at 74 mph. But that's on the motorway and I very rarely go on the motorway. On my normal drive I get 23-26 mpg. That's on the cars calculator.
