Over the counter wash mitt?

I've just remembered that the last time I washed my car my mitt started to fall apart, to the point that it left fluff all over the car, so I got pissed off and threw it away.

I was planning on washing the car tomorrow and I'm only now realising I forgot to buy a replacement! Does anyone know anywhere that might sell a decent wash mitt, Halfords ones all look pants?

They used to stock the Megs Lambswool ones but they don't seem to carry them anymore, so somewhere else that stocks them would do

Somewhere in Sheffield/Rotherham would be handy!

I have this and it's not bad, seems to do the job well, dirt can stick to it though

Halfords still sell megs, I've noticed in a few stores its been moved to the end of an isle out the way

Need a new one of those, mine still works fine buy the megs a lot more surface area!

Has lasted ages too, must have even using it over a year now and it's still in one piece, lost a bit of fluff but good to use.

It's all in the care too, I wash mine on a cool rinse after use and let it air dry. Then submerge in the bucket before trying to get my hand it other you can end up ripping or stretching it.

I don't think it can withstand anti grit buckets tho.

I washed them on 0c with no spin on a 20min cycle and hung it to dry naturally. Don't get me wrong it lasted 6 months or so washing two cars but just lost its fluff and then fell apart too often.

I've eaten through about 3 in the last couple of years, I really wanted a 'wookie mitt' style one this time, which is why I'm a bit pissed I've been caught short. I'll have a look around halfords and see if they still stock the Megs lambs wool, if not it'll be whatever is cheapest that will do the least damage till it get a new one ordered during the week.

How far do you live from Wakefield? I know where there is the uk's poorboys distributor but also sells many other brands. He sells at cheap prices too pm me if Wakefield is not too far'

Cheers for he heads up Danny. I ended up just getting a half odds own brand lambs wool mitt. It seems ok for £7. So I'll use this for a bit.

Still wouldn't mind knowing where that dealer is though if it's only WAKEY, could be handy the next time I get coughs short. And no it's not too far away. Maybe 20mins from me depending on how close it is to the m1.
