Outside temperature sensor

Is it possible to change the sensor by just removing the black front cover of the wing mirror or do I have to take off the glass first?

I have no reading at all on the screen -could there be another problem other than a faulty sensor?
 
Got garage to replace.Unfortunately the cheap £9.99 off eBay shows 8C lower!

Probably have to buy Renault part unless anyone knows a way to re calibrate this .

Does A/C rely on this reading ?
 
Yes, it is possible replace sensor.
I bought ebay sensor for my wifes car, it was okay for 2 weeks.
Now it is reading -20c more than ambient temp. This morning it was like -37c..
I dont recommend ebay sensors.
