Not really convinced it would make much difference. I'd say my MK4 certainly out-brakes my old MK3 197 (and that was on new disks and pads). Money is likely better spent on braided lines, uprated pads and fluid.

Get a lot of squeal from that setup too.
I was very impressed with my uprated pads, lines and fluid at Spa, even does a great job as standard in my opinion.

I’d vouch for the mk4 brakes being good enough as is for a trackday. One of their best standard features

I can remember Renault saying they were xx% more powerful when the car was released but I was under the impression that they suffered with lots of hard use, I take it that’s not true then.
