Oily sparkplugs?

Hey all,

Checked my service history the other day and couldn't see any history of the plugs being changed since a service when it was on 35k, its now on 115k! Bought 4 genuine plugs in Renault boxs from a powerseller on eBay and started changing them. Easy job and old ones wernt too bad but plugs 1 and 2 were oily, so were the coilpacks. There was no oil on the threads or tips though, could it have been that oil was spilled when topping up the engine?

you do get oil seaping from under the camcover bolts especially around the 2 end plugs/coils

I have noticed that, Ill keep an eye on it. It was running fine, it was more precaution than anything.

every 36k I believe

I had a feeling it was longer than that, for some reason every 64k but 36k would make sense as it would fall into a major service I believe?

this..some high temp sealant and you are good to go...

i did the 4 bolts on top of the engine block next to sparkplugs and it was sorted...
