Hi

I'm Matt I'm from west Wales and will be collecting my Clio 197 f1 on Sunday.

Il be looking at upgrading the handling along with fitting a cage and bucket seats.

I'm the near future looking at putting a Megane engine in just doing dome reading on the conversion.

I'm coming from a track spec Mini Cooper s so hope this is a good buy over the mini!

Hi Matt and welcome to the forum. AND Clio ownership !

Cant comment on the Mini....but these Clio's taking some trumping on the 'smiles per mile' front :smile:

Welcome in mate. The R27 is a special car, I would rather you had bought a standard 197 and went the route you are going :weary:. Enjoy mate and gets some pics up.

Hi! Welcome aboard. I'm a fan of the Clio as one of the last n/a hot hatches, but they're still a great basis for some boosted fun! Enjoy.
 
Looks awesome, loving the carbon rear diffuser and how it matches with the lettering of the number plate!

How's drive feel compared to that of the mini?

I love the handling and the ride in the clio but it's just lacking some power and got a flat spot around 2500rpm so going to look at trying to get some more grunt out of it as it's quite sluggish low down compared to the mini.

I know the mini is supercharged and I loved that so may look at that route for the clio depending on price

It's alive at 5500 and above the flat spot a remap would help
