New wiper linkage - On a Sunday?!

So my wipers seized today without warning, then whilst stripping it down to clean and regrease the linkage - I sheared the linkage.

To be honest it was so badly seized I probably needed a new one anyway.

The problem i've got now is, my car is my daily drive and I need it for work on Monday and if it rains - I'm screwed!

Is there anywhere I can get a new linkage on a Sunday?

I'm in Manchester but in these circumstances prepared to drive pretty far to find a new linkage.

local breakers yard for any mk3 or have a phone round might be a dealers open to sell a linkage if they have one or a motor factors that may have a mk3 linkage in stock...

Tried all my local motorfactors they're all shut. I'll try and find a breakers I guess!

can you not bodge it?

I think with the force that goes through the pivots of the linkage i'd just be asking for trouble if I tried a bodge.

Weather looks like it'll be dry early next week so I think i'll just have to pray for no rain and maybe apply some rain X
