Thought i'd put a few pics up of a recently aquired 197, not sure if its been owned by anyone on here before as it seems very well looked after and has had recaros fitted at some point.
Plans are to slowly get it to a decent spec to be fun on the road and throw the odd trackday in now and again
First job was to try and sort out the flat spot and jerky throttle response between 2.5-3k rpm, after a quick read around online I noticed most of these problems are caused by the map sensor not sealing correctly into the manifold so I took it out and put a smear of silicone around for a quick fix, the car drove much much better afterwards but still did have a slight flat spot between 2.5-3k so I ordered a map sensor holder from moto cnc on ebay. However when I went to fit it the machining doesn't match up correctly so i've messaged them to see if its defective or not
