New RS200 owner

Hi, I purchased a Nimbus grey 2011 RS200 about 3 months ago. I've been driving Hilux doublecab utes for the past 6 years, however have had a few hot hatches in the past, as well as owning a fair few classic Mini's. None of them have been on par with the amount of fun I've been having in my RS200. I'm in New Zealand and as far as I'm aware they weren't officially sold in NZ so I have a Japanese import, branded as a Lutecia RS200. She's a full fat model, and has the optional RS Monitor, so has all the options - the only thing she doesn't have is the Recaro seats so that may be something I look at doing if I can find out how to hide that rather inconsiderable expense from my wife ;-)
She's pretty high Km's at 195k (the car not my wife) but has a good service history including regular maintenance as well as some of the more major things (recent gearbox and clutch rebuild, and cambelt).
I've factored in having to spend a bit on her due to the high k's and also want to do a few modifications to her - mostly around the exhaust and induction.
She has already given me a brief example of some of her less favourable quirks, with various engine lights coming on recently.
The most serious quirk was last weekend when my clutch decided to dump all the brake fluid on the driveway so I lost my clutch and brakes. I first thought it might just be the clutch pedal balljoint linkage which seems to be a common fault. After getting upside down in the drivers footwell and realising it wasn't that I thought I'd try to fill the brake master cylinder with fluid and see if maybe it was low. I then found out that it was draining out as fast as I could fill it so I
thought it must have been my clutch slave cylinder had blown a seal.
I didn't really have any idea about what I was doing so had to get that sorted out by the local Renault specialists. I prepared for the worst but it turned out to be the bleed clip had bent and come apart. Kinda weird and not sure how that happened or what exactly that means. But all they had to do was (apparently) remove the bleed assembly and reassemble it, and then bleed the clutch and it was all good to go again. My engine light woes continued but I did get the garage to scan them and so I now kind of know what the issue is. I need a bit of advice about that so will post in the RS200 section.

Welcome, to the forum. This is definitely one of the best places to get advice about these Clios in the net. I'm sure somebody will chime in soon and help you with your misfire problems.

Sidenote: You may also check ozrenaultsport.com if you haven't already. That's the Aussie forum and from what I know there also are some Kiwis on there.
