New Megilo 197 owner

Hi all, thought I’d drop a post in here to say hi and introduce myself.
I already own a 172 and a turbo’d 182 but I have just treated myself to a megane conversion 197 today.
The car will hopefully be a replacement track car for my turbo’d 182 so I’ll be planning to get it up to spec by replacing the injectors with some 640’s and a remap (as it already has a decat, FMIC, resonated miltec, induction kit). I’ll be swapping out the pads for some EBC Blue stuff with some rbf600 fluid to help with braking. It already has some uprated springs to help handling.
I’d be interested to hear from anyone who’s got a rear spoiler and front splitter to see it they help with downforce in these cars as they are on my list of bits to get.
I’ll also be looking to get some r888s as I run then on my other Clio with great results

The turbo stickers are also coming off

Very nice. Been up on eBay a little while, must admit I was very slightly tempted by it but decided against in the end. Different animal to a standard 197 for sure!

Jury is out whether the spoilers actually help with downforce etc, I never had any real issues with mine once the Gaz Golds were on, no spoiler or splitter.

I think the overall opinion on pads for these are Ferodo DS1.11s or personally I went for Performance Friction Z rated - slightly more suited for road but more than adequate for track. A lot of bad reviews for EBC.

Welcome aboard...

I kind of like the turbo stickers.. almost an air of Renault 5 GT turbo stickers!

Yeah PF-Z are a good pad and what I have now, however I think there is still a misconception with EBC. I had yellow stuff before these and had no faults and non of the horror stories people drag up.
Ford fiestas used to have notorious rotting problems in the cills but you see plenty of on the road!

Welcome aboard. Yep as Nick rightly pointed out that’s Beanies old car. Enjoy.
