New grills or repaint originals?

So after treating the front grills with Gtechniq c4 quite a while ago, I was very happy with them. Went to the local tesco car wash and they must have used a caustic tfr because one of the grills has white patches all over it. So I was wondering if it would be cheaper to repaint the grills on the car or just purchase new ones which come to £70.

I'd be grateful if people could let me know how much they paid to have their front grills repainted.

Did mine myself with rattle cans, plenty of thin coats will come out fine.

I use grey primer then satin black.

Just had a look and the primer+satin black comes to about £10. I think that's the way to go. Any tips on how to remove the existing Gtechniq coating?

Put them in the dishwasher, works a treat.
