Pre map, 274 bhp
Post map 312 bhp

Luckily, I had a good warranty from Ktec, when it was on the dyno it thought the outside temp was -40, it turned out to be a bent pin on the ecu, luckily Paul has a replacement in stock once fitted all was good

As I was flush from selling the trophy, wheels & tyres were next on the list

I went with a set of 18” evo corse sanremo, in mat black & nankang ns-2r, couldn’t resist the tyres for the money

Loving the updates, car is looking great!

Looks so much better with the new calipers. Wow, they really are a lot cheaper from that place! Just gone to order some for my Megane but they’re out of stock, hopefully they get some in soon!

Keep the updates coming!

You can find them on offer from RPD sometimes at £300 for the pair.

Thanks! I'll keep an eye out.

It's the rears at 73 euro each that surprised me most, even reconditioned ones on Kamracing, RPD etc are ~£158 each!

I think I found them for £170 each when I needed them

They will soon be back in stock

I sold my old front pair for £200, old rears are still at home

With all this shit going on this year & 2 cancelled ring trips I was determined to get to the ring when the travel corridors were set up, as soon as they were digs were booked, this time in Adenau so I didn’t have to drive at night

Chunnel was extended as I didn’t cancel August’s booking

Was a very eventful trip

I’d like to say that the meg was faultless, the last lap we did, the brakes went spongy, I had to pump them to get any bite, fluid was changed before we went, no idea why it was contaminated, I’ve since changed brands

062bf113fdbd86c2ef40b8af8a54e436.jpg

Also on the last lap, it hesitated a couple of times, the next day it got that bad it cut out a couple of times, at this point there were no codes, I took it to Renault in Adenau, the tech there was convinced the problem was in the map

The next morning, as we were setting off for Calais, eml was on, it went after I restarted it.

The most stressful journey ever, it only hesitated once on the ring road in Belgium.

When the train got in at Folkestone, we were 3rd from the front - & it wouldn’t start, I could of died, on about the 6th press of the start button it started. We made it home in record time without stopping. Was such a relief to be back in the uk, never thought I’d say that.

The next day I scanned for codes, it was either cam or crank sensor, so I ordered both, when fitted the codes were still there. I dropped it with Chris at Beaniesport, for 2 weeks, he couldn’t find anything wrong & it behaved faultlessly

After that I took it to Paul at RST, strangely he said there’s nothing wrong & it has no codes ??? We went to Merry Hill on our way back from Leeds, as soon as we got there it was barely drivable it was hesitating that bad.

A couple of days later I dropped it to Floyd at 4 ashes Renault, it turned out to be 2 brakes in the loom from the cam sensor to the ecu. That lot took 3 months to sort. I also got Floyd to remove the short shifter, ready for my next purchase
