197: MOT / Renault dealers

Just looking through the paper work for the car. And i came across this...

I purchased the car from a Renault Dealer last year, with a 6 month warranty.
On the warranty paper work it shows the 6 month car warranty With the expired date. (The 6 months has now finished)


Then under that something about MOT Warranty with a claim amount and an expire date of the next MOT.

I presume this means if anything is needed to be replaced due to failure on the MOT it would be done under this warranty?

Has anyone else had this?

So, get car in before MOT expiry date, and they will pay for any MOT failures?

It does sound that way yes.

From what I can see from the letter and the Extended warranty and MOT Test warranty booklet.

Maximum Claim is £1000

Only apply to 1 MOT test during the period specified in the warranty confirmation letter

Is it due soon?

run your tyres down to the limit before the test, and the discs + pads too.

Do you have the RAC warranty through Co-op Renault or is it directly through Renault?

Directly with Renault as far as i can tell.
