Meg wheels

just found out these alloys off the Meg are either 38 or 45 offset and 60.1 bore

That means they will stick out more, being half inch narrower will help though.

ET45 will fill the arch out, ET38 would stick out the arch around about 8mm i'd estimate.

All this 'ET' stuff fries my brain, I don't know why I must've read up on it like a dozen times but it always gets me :bash:

its a 7j wheel, so et38 would be like et44 on a 7.5j wheel. so it may just do it. et45 will easily do it

Thanks guys, Ive asked for confirmation of the offset. This may sound stupid but I dont understand much about wheels lol but will my current tyres go on these new alloys? I only ask because isnt the 'j' to do with the width?

they should go on but in may make the tyre look bulkier, 7j is the width of the wheel in inches, standard are 7.5j. offset is the measurement from the centre line of the wheel to the hub face.

Your tyre will be slightly (0.5") wider than the rim, so it'll bulge a little when you look at it side on, might make the side wall look a little round.

I suppose it'll help you not to kirb them though

It'll be pushing it right out to the edge.

A standard wheel with a 25mm spacer is like an ET43 and people who've put 25mm spacers on say how close it gets, especially if going lower (suspension wise).

my TD pro race 1.2s were et45, 40mm lowered, very close to the edge, only little bit of rubbing on the bumper lip were the bumper meets the wing. but i never heard it rubbing
