Maxogen

Not sure of this has been done before and I'm drawing a blank but can't seem to find anyone hat has fitted an itg maxogen without relocating the battery or fitting a smaller battery, if someone could point me in the right direction that would great or if there are any pictures out there of one fitted in such a way.

Thanks
Craig

I may be wrong but I think the standard kit doesn't require changing/moving the battery but the better custom setup most people use does as the intake is larger?

Yes Craig it can be done and looks tidey as well, dcidoble has done a good job with his and says it sounds great.Think he is going for a map soon so will see what he is pulling with that setup.

All you need is a Reducer pipe to go with the Maxogen.

Cheers lads had a quick look at dcidoble's setup and looks good but was kinda hoping to show of the filter box a bit more but with that filter I spose it would suffer from some heat-soak, noticed there are some itg filters with a 90 deg inlet just not sure if the box would fit behind the battery, think I will have to do some measuring and fire an email to itg

also did not know that people were using a custom setup I thought it was just the one meant for the clio

there is a really good cold draft at the back of the gearbox when stationary so i can imagine it should be cooler when driving, i haven't noticed any increase in temperatures/loss of power since fitting the itg

there is also room for you to run ducting if you prefer

This is my custom set up and is the only way you can show the filter off as the standard battery is in the way.

The other filters what you noticed will not fit due to the smaller neck outlet.
This is the one that ITG do for the Clio

By "outlet" do you mean the pipe going to the throttle body as a reducer could be used could it not?
And that filter is huge!! Didn't realise it was that big haha

the smaller filters are a smaller outlet the bit at the back of the filter going to the throttle body but yes a reducer could be used but lot less airflow like say from the throttle body is 70mm reduced to say 65mm or say like the old type of filter ITG used for the 197-200 was 70mm to 70mm,Now the outlet that ITG do is 73mm hence why the reducer pipe is 70mm to 76mm.Ha the pic make the filter look big as they are the same size shell as the old and the ones K-TEC sell.

Could be I'm a bit thick here but what size hose clips do I need, I'm guessing the sizes mentioned for the hose are Id measurement so i have to add 10mm for the thickness of the hose.

Also anyone know where I can get the renaultsport label on the inlet manifold in yellow??

Use the standard ones that you take off the original air box mine have held up no problems at all
