Manifold and Akra....help!

Hi all hope someone can offer some advice my car is having an Akro eveolution exhuast fitted this week, garage called and advised the manifold will need replacing in the future - just to make me aware.

So my question is as my car is a road car only I want to esnure my car will pass an MOT, looking at my options appears to me its Renault replacement, Toyo or K tec...however k tec and toyo are decat so i presume would fail an mot - any thoughts would be great..

Thanks.

No issues with Toyo mani here. No EML light ever, no other issues at all, passed MOT emissions

Akrapovic evo has no cat so fitting a toyosport manifold would fail the mot.
Either fit a standard manifold, cut and sleeve a sports cat into the akrapovic, or fit the toyosport manifold and swap the akrapovic for a standard exhaust come mot time.

Keep the Akra and go with the standard manifold would be my decision on that.

An aftermarket manifold isn't going to bring you any power and could have fitment issues unless you deal with all that too.

Standard one would be much easier to get along with.

yeah the Akra has no cats ..and as above..i wouldnt mess about with swapping to an OEM system everytime you are due MOT though..a bit too expensive and hassle every year..

I’m facing this dilemma at the moment. Does the std exhaust fit inside a clio with no back seats?

I think I’m likely to get a ktec manifold and swap over the exhausts after mot time

Not had a standard exhaust in the back but I did have an aftermarket one that fit in the Clio with the back seats down.

Get the akra this week. Decided to get the std manifolds flexi’s replaced and see how loud the akra is. Dependent on volume then likely to get the pure motorsport manifold. Thanks for help
